LastSteep is developing an operating record for owner-led businesses. The current private owner pilot supports one project workspace within a versioned note. MaritUrsa is a separate infrastructure research effort; customer AI routing is planned, not available in this pilot.

THE ENVIRONMENTAL CASE
Good operations are a climate practice.
Digital work has a footprint. The International Energy Agency estimates data centres used about 415 TWh—roughly 1.5% of global electricity—in 2024, with demand rising around 12% annually since 2017. LastSteep cannot make a company impact-free. It can make waste visible before it compounds.
That means fewer duplicate files, fewer repeated discovery meetings, less tool overlap, less rework, and using the smallest capable AI route for the task—not the most compute-intensive option by default.
Our development goal is to make AI activity, cost, evidence reuse, and resource savings measurable. Customer-facing AI activity tracking and verified environmental savings are not available in the current pilot.
